On September 9th, 2025, one of the largest fabric manufacturing exhibitions in Central Asia took place, which lasted 4 days and ended on September 12th. The venue of the event is Uzexpocentre NEC. This exhibition center is one of the most spacious and comfortable in the region. It is located in Tashkent and annually welcomes thousands of guests from all over the world. This year, the Central Asian International Textile Machinery Exhibition (CAITME) was attended by people from Italy, Germany, Spain, Turkey, China, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, and other countries. The fair was visited by experts, scientists, fabric manufacturers, dyeing specialists, representatives of well-known brands, traders, and ordinary visitors.
The exhibitors demonstrated new fabrics and showed the technologies used to produce fabrics, apply drawings, and so on. Business owners who came there to find partners, sponsors, and suppliers were noticed at CAITME. A favorable environment was created at the fair for the exchange of information, business ideas, and the conclusion of contracts. The guests were accommodated in the hotel with maximum comfort and could visit the sights of Tashkent in their free time. The main tasks of CAITME are listed below:
- development of the textile industry in the CA region;
- international information and technology exchange;
- discussion of innovative solutions and smart systems;
- environmental protection in light industry enterprises;
- demonstration of new fabrics and modern weaving machines.
CAITME is rightfully considered a crucial event in the textile industry; for this reason, the largest representatives of the garment industries in Asia and Europe come to the expo every year to demonstrate their new products and equipment. You can not only watch, but also order products at the exhibition. Visitors could approach the stands and study the exhibits. This exhibition is supported at the state level, and it is not surprising that representatives of the Cabinet of the Minister of Uzbekistan attend the event.
Development of Light Industry in Asia
It must be said that the CAITME exhibition makes a significant contribution to the development of the industry, as after each exhibition, there is a technological surge: factories upgrade equipment, innovative technologies begin to be used, and artificial intelligence is more often exploited to resolve non-trivial tasks. Textile production is actively developing in Asia because people all over the world need more inexpensive and high-quality clothes; by the way, apparel can be ordered online. You can try the Globy B2B marketplace, where you can order the best Uzbek, Chinese, Indian, and Vietnamese fabrics in bulk and arrange for delivery by sea. This platform has proven itself well and is in great demand. On Globy, you can repurchase abandoned cargo at a discount, use a special freight calculator, place a sourcing request, and use other free tools on the site.
It must be admitted that Uzbekistan’s light industry is growing and attracting more and more foreign investment, which is why the authorities are so actively supporting the CAITME fair. People living in Europe are willing to wear clothes made in Uzbekistan, which explains the increasing sales rates.
Reports, Seminars, Lectures on CAITME and Results
Every year, CAITME attracts specialists who understand the production of various fabrics, and these people conduct seminars and lectures. You can listen to reports from experts at the fair, participate in discussions, and ask lecturers questions. Admittedly, the CAITME exhibition was a success in 2025. Next year, the fair will be repeated in Tashkent in September. To participate as an exhibitor, you need to send by email your details and a description of the products that you want to present at CAITME.
